How Can a Chemical Peel Benefit You?

A chemical peel is a procedure designed to refresh your complexion by exfoliating the top layers of your skin and encouraging cell turnover. Having been in use for decades, chemical peels have a long-established track record of safety and with such a wide range of peels to choose from, you can be assured we can match one to meet your individual needs. Depending on your goals and the extent of your skin concerns, we may recommend a mild to medium depth chemical peel.

Chemical peels can address several issues at once, including:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Sun damage (such as sunspots)
  • Acne
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Redness , dullness or uneven skin tone

How Do Chemical Peels Work?

Peels work by gradually removing dry, dead skin cells from the surface of your skin leaving you with a healthy glowing complexion. At Trio Med Spa, we offer various medical-grade chemical peels that include proven ingredients like lactic acid, salicylic acid, resorcinol, and retinoic acid. At your complimentary consultation, our skilled aestheticians will select the appropriate peel based on your skin’s specific needs. Chemical peels are a reliable, time-tested skin resurfacing technique. Not only are they extremely versatile and completely customizable, but they also bring these notable benefits.

  • Provide a visibly healthier, more luminous complexion
  • Smooth and soften fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reverse the cumulative effects of sun damage, including discoloration
  • Improve the texture of rough or leathery skin
  • Address Acne
  • Create long-lasting results without the need for a more invasive approach

A chemical peel appointment is quite quick. Your skin will be cleansed and the selected peel will be applied. The peel will work its magic over the next few days after your treatment. You will leave with detailed instructions on what to expect post procedure along with an at-home post peel kit.

TIMELESS. AGELESS.
EXQUISITELY YOU.

Let’s take the next step together on your aesthetic journey.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Chemical Peels?

Generally, most people are well-qualified to get chemical peels. During your consultation, we will evaluate your skin and ask you questions about your health history to determine if this procedure is right for you.

What to Expect During and After Your Chemical Peel

We perform superficial and medium depth chemical peels. They are generally very quick appointments which is part of their appeal. When you arrive for your appointment, we will first get you cozy, then cleanse the treatment area and carefully apply the solution to your skin. Most clients describe a peel as “a mild warmth or tingling sensation” as the peel takes effect. After a predetermined period, your provider will neutralize the peel, then clean your skin again to remove all remnants of the peel ingredients. Finally, we’ll smooth an ointment over the treated area to moisturize and soothe your skin.

Following your peel you may notice mild redness and skin flaking – much like a mild sunburn. You’ll  need to avoid sun exposure until your skin has fully recovered and be diligent about protecting your skin from UV rays to avoid accumulating more sun damage, which will reverse your peel’s effects. We will provide you with a post-peel kit and complete aftercare instructions to follow.
